In India, people would blindly buy a Nokia device even when competitors would offer more at the same price. However, with no Android integration, Nokia disappeared as a brand. But, there were always rumours about the company making a comeback especially after leaks about Nokia D1C started surfacing on the internet. Nokia has finally revealed its plans to re-enter the smartphone industry. At the company's presentation at the Capital Markets Day, plans for 2017 read - 'Nokia brand's return to smartphones'. Nokia also plans to expand its VR leadership, and expand its patent license in mobile, automotive and consumer electronics.
