The Department of Journalism and the Department of Mass Communication of St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa recently organized a 4-day study tour to Hyderabad. A total of 31 final year media students along with six teaching and two non-teaching staff visited various media houses within the city of Nawabs from Nutshell Advertising Agency to Maa TV to the Pragati Printing Press founded in the 60s. The students also witnessed the making of the TV promo for the blockbuster film and visited the sets of a singing reality show .
A media tour to Hyderabad is incomplete without a visit to Ramoji film city. This 2000 acres facility is the largest integrated film city in the world. It houses natural and artificial attractions including amusement parks and is the epicentre for film and television productions.
