Vin Diesel has announced that work will soon begin on a Riddick sequel and has already begun on a spinoff TV series, MERC CITY. On his Instagram, Diesel wrote that his production company, One Road Films, "had a party to launch our TV division". "MERC CITY is a show that will follow the Mercs and Bounty Hunters of the Riddick Universe," he explained. And if that wasn't enough Riddick goodness, he revealed that next month will see writer-director David Twohy begin work on the fourth chapter in the Chronicles of Riddick, entitled FURIA. One Road Films produced the most recent in the franchise, Riddick, after acquiring the rights to the series from Universal. It followed Pitch Black (2000) and The Chronicles of Riddick (2004).
