It's over for real this time around. And fans are still in a state of shock after one of Hollywood's most iconic couples Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie decided to call it quits after more than a decade of being together and two years of marriage. Angelina who shares six children with Brad filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” after months of rumours of their marriage being in trouble.
The duo met on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith in 2004, while Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston. Although they denied being in a relationship at that time, Brad and Jennifer separated in 2005 and not long after Brad and Angelina were spotted vacationing together in Kenya. Things got even more heated up when the couple were featured in a special W magazine spread titled 'Domestic Bliss' as it was revealed that the photos were taken before Brad and Jen had divorced. Much later, Angelina revealed that it was in Mr. & Mrs. Smith where she and Brad "fell in love."
In January 2006, Angelina first confirmed that she was expecting her first child with Brad. After the birth of their daughter Shiloh Nouvel, the couple who already shared adopted kids Maddox and Zahara went on to have twins and also adopted Pax, 3, from an orphanage in Vietnam. In April 2012, after reportedly being pressured by their kids, Brad and Angelina got engaged. However Angelina then went on to have a preventative double mastectomy after learning she was at high risk for both breast cancer and ovarian cancer, during which Brad was completely supportive of her calling her choice heroic. The couple finally married in August 2014 at their French estate Chateau Miraval in Correns with Angelina's dress being partially designed by her kids.
CONTROVERSIES
While the news that the couple had actually divorced for real was quite a surprise, the fact that the marriage was in trouble wasn't news as there have been plenty of stories doing the rounds with regards to Angelina being jealous and paranoid. Here's a couple of popular stories doing the rounds

Rumours have alleged that Brad and French actress Marion Cotillard have had an affair after meeting on the set of Allied, written by Brummie Steven Knight. Other stories insist that Angelina was intensely jealous of both his Allied co-stars Marion Cotillard and Lizzy Caplan while Brad was fed up of her stubborn refusal to take care of herself after so many health scares.
The DNA test
Singer Melissa Etheridge recently revealed on an Australian talk show that back in the ’90s, she considered asking her friend Pitt to donate his sperm to her and then-partner Julie Cypher. Etheridge instead used singer David Crosby as a donor to conceive her now-teenage children, Bailey and Beckett, but according to reports, Jolie was suspicious that Pitt could be the real da and demanded that he do a DNA test while Brad insisted that she was just being paranoid.
