What is a holiday without a blitz of shopping? Buying things for the home and for friends so that you can share a flavour of your holiday with those you care about. Like all holiday destinations, Goa also offers a visitor a wide range of shopping opportunities right from niche designer ware to trinkets and other knickknacks which are unique to the state.
While there are just so many shopping avenues to choose from, we give you a fair sample of places where you can shop for jewellery and clothing under one roof till you drop. You can visit the small markets that exist in almost every village along the beach, or perhaps even indulge in some brand shopping at certain places. But the best places to visit are the informal shopping areas.
Anjuna Flea Market:
India’s original flea market where you can shop for anything between a leather jacket to a pair of psychedelic ear studs. The market comes alive every Wednesday in the popular Anjuna village and is a never-to-miss experience.
The Saturday Night Markets
It's been around for more than a decade and there are few better things to do in Goa than head for the Saturday night market located in Arpora in North Goa.
