Lok Rang, a festival of plays which celebrates folk theatre in Goa was organised recently by theatre group Abhivyaktee at the Ravindra Bhawan in Sankhali. The festival was inaugurated by Dr Pramod Sawant in the presence of Vinayak Khedekar and three specially written scripts by writers Anagha Deshpande Vinayak Khedekar and Madhav Joshi were released on the ocassion. Dr Ajay Vaidya, Dr Panduran Phaldessai and Laxman Gawas spoke on the forms - Kaalo,Perni Jaagor and Rannmale respectively prior to each performance. Senior folk artistes Ram Ozarekar, Laxman Udalxekar,Gurudas Gawas,Rajaram Gawas and Savalaram Kerkar were also felicitated at the event.
