One day event ‘Youth Warriors 2019’ was held at St Michael HSS, Taleigao recently with the aim to uplift the students academically and make them competitive in every field. Farrel Furtado e- Gracias, ex-MLA was the chief guest of the event.
The headmistress of primary school Famida Aga and in-charge principal Afshan Sayed were also present at the function. Afshan Sayed was the driving force and the mastermind behind the whole event. All together there were five events, which were enriching and bringing out students talents.The winners of the respective events are as follows: The advertisement and marketing event was won by Class XI, Commerce B. Students of Class XI Arts B emerged winners of the quiz competition while Class XI Arts A bagged the Wealth out of Waste competition.
Class XI B also won the photography competition. Mr and Miss Warrior 2019 title was won by participants of Class XI Arts A and Class XI Arts B respectively.
Overall winners of the event title was given to Class XI Arts B.
Kalpana Chandelkar and Ashit Vernekar were in-charge teachers for the event.
The chief guest Farrel Furtado encouraged all with her words of wisdom and motivation. She stated, “Talents are reborn”. She made the crown ponder upon the dreams which haven’t yet achieved.
