It was a day of full of fun and excitement for the differently-abled kids of Peace Haven Charity home, Caranzalem as aspiring candidates for Mrs Goa 2019 showcased their many talents here with the children eagerly cheering them on. A total of 17 finalists delivered performances in diverse fields from classical dance to singing, painting and acting.
The talent round was judged by Samiksha Karmalkar Harjee (Mrs Goa 2017), Heather Fernandes-Colaco, the reigning Mrs Goa 2018/Mrs India 2018 (first runner-up), Sumaiyya Shaikh (Miss International Goa 2019) and musician Dr Nikhil.
The kids had an opportunity to interact, sing and dance along with the contestants.
“It is important to develop a habit of social responsibility in every citizen. Mrs Goa is such a platform and that is why we decided to keep the talent round at the charity home. It was a nice experience for the contestants as well as the students of the home,” said Thasveer M Salim, founder of the Mrs Goa beauty pageant.T
he event was supported by Stars, an NGO focused on visiting underprivileged homes every month to create an essence of love and belonging.
