Get read for a fun night, as Goa Entertainment Association is all set to organise the fourth edition of Noman Tuka Goa, featuring some of Goa's best bands live in action on September 24, 7 pm onward at Blueberry Hill, Verna. Catch music performances by Skyhigh, Archies, Rhythmnation, White Flames and Acacio & The Rabbits while Dr. Martins and his group Dance Illusions will show you how the right moves with their dance act. The crowning of the NTG Queen will add to the glamour to the exciting lineup for the evening which will be compered by Sunita, Celbert, Lionel, Sucorro and Elvis Goes. Apart from this two of Goa's senior musicians Laury Pires and Acacio Tavares will also be felicitated during the event for the lifetime contribution towards entertainment and music in Goa.
Acacio Tavares of Purple Rain, is a household name in Goa and has been in the music field for over 44 years. He is well known for his popular band song “Bala Bala Music”.
Acacio has had the privilege of performing for various important personalities such as the Former President of India Late Gianni Zail Singh, The former Prime Minister of India Late Rajiv Gandhi, King Hussein of Jordan and also had the privilege of meeting St. Pope John Paul II. He has also
been actively associated with the Goan Cultural folk troup “Alegria”.
Laury Pires, began his career in music when he was just 13 years old and used to play in the school band. From there on, along with his brothers he started his own band 'Les Vandals' and even have represented Goa at the Republic day parade in New Delhi. He started started L’ace”in 1993 which is a popular band even today. He has a number of original compositions including the popular and catchy tune GOA and has performed with many big names - Remo Fernandes, the late Chris Perry, late August Braganza, late Emiliano D’Cruz etc.
Ladies and children upto 12 years will be entitled to free entry for Saturday's event.
