This is Aditya Chopra's first directional venture not headlined by Shah Rukh Khan.
Instead, Chopra's film has Yash Raj Films protégés Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor.
Chopra wrote the script of Befikre keeping the lead actor Ranveer Singh in mind.
And had Ranveer Singh not come on board, Chopra would not have made the film.
However, his first choice of leading lady was Deepika Padukone and not Vaani Kapoor.
Ranveer and Vaani reportedly have 23 lip-locks in the film.
The Befikre Trailer went viral and created history by breaking all Hindi cinema records on the Internet with 10 Million Views on all platforms combined within 24 hours of release.
Yash Chopra (1932-2012), served as a producer for his son, Aditya Chopra's first three films as a director. Befikre is Aditya's fourth film as a director, and first where he himself serves as a producer, as the former died in 2012 due to dengue fever.
