Zoomin Photographer’s Club De Goa, affiliated to the Federation of Indian Photography (FIP) organisation, was founded in August 2014. Since the club’s inception, they have conducted many national photography workshops (basic and advance photography), national photo contests with the recognition from FIP.
The club conducted a digital photo contest along with 3 clubs as partners namely ‘Zoomin Photographers Club De Goa from Goa, Kolhapur ‘Amateur Photographers Association “ Kolhapur’, ‘Photography is my Passion’ from Kolkata. Judging for the contest was done by 9 eminent judges from all over India. Winners were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals. These award winning pictures are being displayed at art gallery, Kala Academy. The contest saw thousands of entries from across the country. The exhibition is also showcasing the ‘best woman photographers of India. This is the fourth year of their photo exhibition.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Mauvin Godinho, minister for panchayat, recently. The exhibition also showcases many ‘ready to hang’ photographs by the members of the club for sale.
