Pokemon Go is so in right now, it’s in your face everywhere you turn. Perhaps not as much on the streets of Panaji, Margao or Calangute, but across the world, people are going crazy. In a build up to something special on this new app and game that is changing the way people live, walk, exercise or even discover their surroundings, we are just going to look at one place in the world where Pokemon fever took over completely.
While there have been mass hunts in many countries, and Pokemon Go has received a lot of plaudits as well as criticism. Yes, there have been those too. You’ll find a few stories of people getting upset with other trudging through their yard looking for Pokemon. In Canberra a mass hunt went great. In New York too, things were going good until a rare Pokemon known as a Vaporeon was spotted in Central Park.
Now Central Park is the Big Apple’s green lung. It’s a place where families come out to spend the day, joggers run through it and big bands even perform there. But on Saturday night in America, instead of hanging at the pub with friends or Netflixing and chilling at home with the better half, many made it out to Central Park in search of the elusive Vaporeon. No one was hurt, luckily.
