In celebration of Goa's unique Indo Portuguese culture and in a bid to keep it's beautiful traditions alive, Cidade de Goa recently hosted it's monthy Fado evening at Alfama restaurant. Guests were treated to the mellifluous voices of famed Fadistas Sonia Shirsat, Miguel Cotta, Chantalle Marie Cotta E Viegas and Nadia Rebelo . Franz Schubert Cotta on the Portuguese Guitar (Guitarra Portuguesa) and Carlos Menezes - Guitar (Viola) accompanied them. The chef’s menu, specially crafted for the evening, offered up a delectable array of Goan and Portuguese cuisine like Galinha Grelhada à Portuguesa and Xacuti de Cogumelos com Polenta e Molho.
