YUVA-National Award winning Voluntary Youth Organization from Panaji paid tribute to Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in a unique way by organizing Sand Fort (Castle) Making Workshop on February 18 at Miramar Beach, Panaji. The workshop was attended by around 160 kids and their parents from all over Goa. Kids were divided in 12 groups and YUVA Volunteers were allotted to them to teach the basics of sand mixing and building sand fort using waste household equipments and utensils. Around 32 forts were built up and decorated by kids at the end of the workshop. YUVA Founder and Goa State Youth Awardee Shri. Raghuvir Mahale conceptualized the idea of having this workshop before a competition could be organized next year. YUVA Advisor Shri. Shantaram Naik felicitated Ms. Anuradha Guglani who was the main trainer for the workshop. The workshop was led by Achut Mahale, Amey Shanbhag and Maitheli Pednekar.
