Brad Paisley
Country star Brad Paisley closed his tour in March last year on a romantic note. During a performance of She's Everything, he paused midway to let a couple get engaged onstage. In fact he made sure to take a lot of pictures too but not before he had an oops moment by mistaking the wrong couple. He was quick to play it down and asked the man “You sure you don’t want to do it, too?”After congratulating the right couple, he then went back to his song while the couple danced to it onstage.
Adele
Adele could not quite contain herself when she spotted a couple getting engaged while she was performing Make You Feel My Love ,during her concert in London in May last year. “I thought there was a fight at first! I saw loads of camera phone lights go on and loads of arms go up and I thought it was a fight! Come up here “ I know, I get stage fright too but come up,” she said. Adele then probed them on their relationship and admitted the proposal was the “most beautiful thing” she had ever seen at one of her gigs. Upon hearing they had been together over 12 years, she said, “I’m just so in love with you both, how did you hear him? Because I was wailing! It’s amazing to think you’ve been going out longer than I’ve been making music.”
Ed Sheeran
Ed is quite the popular man to play cupid in real life. Apart from being a wedding singer, the singer has helped couples get engaged at his shows quite a number of times over the years. In fact back in October 2014, not one, but five couples got engaged during his show in London's O2 Arena. The singer who had to keep pausing during his set, made sure the couples recognised his contribution too when he quipped, "And don't forget that when the day comes Ed is a great name for a baby boy or girl. Edward, Eddie, Edwina or even Edmund." And one of the couples was totally up for naming their first boy/kitten Ed.
Paul McCartney
Paul McCartney was kind of left with no choice but to help this couple out. The star was returning to the stage after a prolonged illness in July 2014 when he spotted a pair of signs. While the man's sign read "I've got the ring and I'm 64”, the woman held a sign which read "He won't marry me 'til he meets you”. The former Beatle finally invited them up on stage during his final encore where the man named Dann sang a few lines from the Beatles song "When I'm Sixty-Four”, before he proposed.
Coldplay
Coldplay have also been very instrumental in getting couples to commit for a lifetime. In December last year, a big fan of the band managed to get the front man's attention with a sign which read 'Please help a fan propose to his girlfriend on stage,' while managing to hide the sign from his girl. While Chris Martin initially shook his head, he finally relented saying he was a sucker for proposals and paused midway while singing 'A Sky Full of Stars' to allow the man to give a romantic speech to the love of his life. Of course the couple made sure to mention that Chris was invited for the wedding.
