South Africa tourism looks to woo young Goans especiallythose interested in wildlife, backpacking and adventure sports to add to itsalready ninety thousand tourist from South-Western Indian cities visiting SouthAfrica over the last two years.

“We believe that the tour operator is the final desk where atraveler goes and it’s important that we organize these free trainings for touroperators across India. Goa is one of the 44 cities we have organized “LearnSouth Africa” for travel partners across India, so that operators know whatthey are marketing and why promote South Africa ahead of Europe, Carribeans orthe Middle-East,” stated country head for Learn Africa Tourism, HanelliSlabber.

HannelliSlabber has been finding small reasons, ahead ofEurope and Middle-East, as to why people should visit South Africa.

Besides allowing Indians to use their Indian drivinglicence, SA has three hours extra daylight compared to other countries whichmakes it competitive for shooting Bollywood films ahead of Switzerland besidesincreasing sight-seeing hours.

Slabber while speaking to The Goan admitted that over 43,979visitors from Goa and Chennai visit to South Africa in the first half of thetourist season, which includes a young crowd who travel for a game, hunting, adventure sports, bungee jumping besides the African safari which is commonamongst Goans.

Slabber admits that the largest delegation of Indiansglobally live in South Africa amounting to over 3% of South Africa’spopulation. South Africa has taken a considerable chunk of the North Indian andGujarat wedding crowd from Goa, which is more exquisite and offers a largerVegan platter.

Slabber also had a special module for the tour operators whohave been promised higher returns on selling holidays and explained to sellpackages to those interested in gold shopping ahead of Dubai since South Africais a huge market for gold and jewels.
