Ashvem
Ashvem Beach is located in Pernem, in thenorth of Goa. It is a little rocky isolated beach and one can see vaststretches of sand until one encounters a smattering of beach shacks made ofcoconut palms. The beach is also the nesting place of the Olive Ridley turtle.Accommodation is in the form of the beach huts; however, there are a fewup-market hotels and resorts coming up.

Hawaii
Though the name seems out of place amongthe other names of Goan beaches, Hawaii is a quiet stretch of beach oppositethe Dona Paula jetty. It is almost always practically devoid of tourists.However it is an ideal place for water sports such as sailing, and water skiingand viewing dolphins that play peek-a-boo. Places to stay include the HawaiiBeach Resort and other hotels in and around Dona Paula.

Hollant
Hollant beach is in Vasco and is twokilometres from Bogmalo beach. It is known to be the only beach from where onecan view the sunrise. A rocky cove at the foot of with a small stretch of sandand a lot of coconut trees, Hollant is quiet and devoid of water currents andcrowds. It was used as a harbour by the Arabs and the Portuguese had a customsclearing post here. There are no hotels close to the beach.

Velsao
A quiet beach along the southern coastlineof Goa, Velsao beach offers a respite from the busy beaches of Goa. Theenvirons compel one to loosen up, unwind and relax. The hustle and bustle seemsfar away, in another universe perhaps. It is advisable to consult with thelifeguards before taking a swim in the sea here. Beach shacks are rare andplaces to stay include the Pifrans Beach Resort.

Patnem
Located in Cancona in south Goa, Patnembeach is quieter and cleaner than its famed neighbour Palolem. With soothingsea breezes and inviting waters, Patem beach also offers water activities suchas kayaking. Places such as Om Shanti and Tantra café are a couple of places toeat and accommodation is available at places like the Papaya Cottage homes,Cuba and guest houses along the coast.
