Varca strongman Bab Churchill must have been flooded with wishes from far and wide when he celebrated his birthday on Sunday. Greetings from newly-elected BJP councillors representing the wards in Fatorda and Curtorim, however, raised many an eyebrow in political circles. Take note, councillor Sadanandbab Packlo had been Churchillbab’s ardent supporter since the UGDP days, while councillor Camilobab Barretto was Churchillbab’s Save Goa Party’s Fatorda candidate in 2007. It’s a coincidence they contested on the BJP banner against Vijaibab’s candidates. Indeed, a strange coincidence?
