Hazard a guess what was the ground report Chief Minister Pramodbab Sawant received on the BJP’s poll prospects in Margao? Well, the CM had made his presence felt in the Margao municipal area on Sunday to drum up support for party-backed Vibrant Margao candidate before making a token presence in Fatorda. What, however, surprised many an observer was that the Chief Minister did not keep his date with Fatorda as scheduled. Was it because he had to rush to Delhi to discuss the Covid situation or was he preoccupied with officials after his return? Or, was it simply that the CM was in receipt of the ground report of the poll situation in Margao. Wait and watch.
