Ex-Cong MLA bats for Vibrant Margao
Former Congress Fatorda MLA Mama Cardozo has finally batted for BJP-backed Vibrant Margao in the Margao Municipal polls. While Mama claimed that he still continues to be a Congressman, the ST leader said he has extended support to Vibrant Margao headed by BJP leader Damu Naik since daughter Viviana Cardozo is contesting on the panel. A host of political leaders and parties, including the BJP, Goa Forward and Congress had lined up to wish Mama on his 75th birthday last week. With daughter in the fray on the BJP-backed panel, Mama has finally extended support to Vibrant Margao.

How many masks and sanitisers have been ordered by Goa Forward to distribute to the voters on the day of polling on Friday? Well, the regional party, especially its chief, Vijai Sardesai, who did not leave a single opportunity to reach out to the voters, must have ordered masks and sanitisers in bulk to meet the requirements of thousands of voters. That Sardesai has announced that the masks and sanitisers will be given to all voters, irrespective of party affiliation, indicates that the party has placed order for the bulk purchase. Digambar’s strategy to checkmate BJP
Opposition leader Digambar Kamat seemed to have left no stone unturned to make inroads in the saffron territory.
