Saxttikars wonder why the Griha Aadhaar sanction order distribution for women was held in Margao when the venue could have been elsewhere in the State. For, Chief Minister Pramodbab Sawant had to rush to Margao after another programme in North Goa. And, so did Minister Vishwajitbab Rane who travelled all the way to the commercial capital, leaving political observers to wonder whether the programme had anything to do with the first anniversary of the defection by the eight Congress MLAs. For, with the turncoats from Saxttidom, Diggu and Aleixobab Sequeira yet to receive the promised cabinet berth rewards, was the Griha Aadhaar programme an attempt to send the right signal that the government cares and cares for everyone, including the turncoats. Any questions?
What was Digambar, Rane discussing in Margao?
Did Congress-turn-BJP Margao MLA Diggu discuss with Urban Development Minister, Vishwajitbab Rane the issue over the cancellation of Margao Municipal Council’s recruitment process by the government? Well, Diggu was seen in close discussions with the Jr Rane while the duo was seated on the dais at the Ravindra Bhavan, Margao during the Griha Aadhaar order sanction programme. Someone from the audience was overheard asking whether the Margao MLA had put across his view to the Minister on the cancellation of the recruitment process and whether there’s any hope of a rethink on the matter by the government. Any takers?
When Rane’s tweet on MMC jobs left councillors in confused state
This may make reading interesting. When Congress-turned-BJP Margao MLA Diggu called on Chief Minister Pramodbab Sawant along with two ruling Margao Municipal councillors in tow to discuss the promised jobs to the siblings of the two councillors, the CM was prompt in reassuring to honour the job promise. Just hours later, and before Diggu and the two councillors could reach Margao, Urban Development Minister Vishwajitbab Rane tweeted to announce that all recruitments in the Municipal Councils are kept on hold till implementation of the common cadre, leaving the councillors in a confused state. Any questions?
Health Minister continues to snub, ignore GPCC chief
It was a week when Health Minister Vishwajitbab Rane simply refused to take the name of GPCC chief Amitbab Patkar, leave alone replying to an allegation by the Congress president. Who’s this man, I don’t know him, and I have heard of such a name for the first time ever, was how Health Minister Vishwajitbab Rane reacted when the media sought his reaction to Patkar’s allegation during his visit to Margao earlier this week. As a parting shot, Vishwajitbab said he does not want to join issues with these small people. This isn’t the first time that the Health Minister tried to snub and ignore the GPCC chief and the Congress. Guess, why?
Political rivals Vijai, Damu meet, exchange pleasantries at temple
It was a Sunday when devotees visiting Lord Dambab Temple at Linga-Fatorda spotted Goa Forward chief Vijaibab Sardesai and arch political rival, BJP leader Damubab Naik in a conversation mode. The duo maintained they just happened to be at the temple around the same time when they exchanged pleasantries. Sources, however, informed that an inquisitive Goa Forward chief reportedly tried to find out whether Damubab has still plans for Fatorda or has drawn up bigger political plans in the BJP. By the way, Vijaibab is believed to have extended belated birthday wishes to Damubab. Interesting, isn’t it?
