Guess how much money was reportedly delivered at the doorsteps of the Congress MLA in order to defect from the party? Well, reports of the monetary offer given to the MLA to quit the party have been doing the rounds in political circles for over a week now. Indeed, political circles are abuzz with reports that bundles of currency notes amounting to a whopping Rs 30 crore were reportedly delivered to the MLA’s residence. It’s another thing that the money was returned back to the sender. Any takers?
Task cut out for Luizinho in Navelim
TMC Rajya Sabha MP Luizinhbab Faleiro has a task cut out. He has so far excelled in the Rajya Sabha by highlighting issues plaguing Goa and its people. He, however, has a task to ensure the TMC flag flies high in his home turf Navelim. The TMC could not win the Navelim Assembly seat, which saw the Lotus bloom for the first time. Now, the SEC has notified by-polls for the Davorlim Zilla Panchayat seat, which has areas all falling in Navelim constituency. BJP manages to get key post in Navelim VP
Election of the Navelim sarpanch and deputy sarpanch seemed to have left many a question unanswered, more so after the lone BJP member got the prized post of deputy sarpanch. No doubt, former sarpanch Paulobab Pereira cobbled up the magic numbers to keep the rivals at bay to return back to the saddle. However, BJP member Damodarbab Chawan’s election as his deputy and the presence of the saffron brigade in the panchayat after the election has indeed left tongues wagging in Navelim. Any questions?
GF has a plan, continues tirade against CM
Is Goa Forward chief Vijaibab Sardesai back at his old ways when he was a bitter and vocal critic of Chief Minister Pramodbab Sawant after his unceremonious exit from the Cabinet? No doubt, one hasn’t heard Goa Forward chief’s taunts directed at Pramodbab calling him an accidental CM and a Sawantwadi government. In fact, political observers had believed that Vijaibab had stopped targeting the CM post-2022 Assembly polls. The recent attacks directed at the CM, including the Sonali Phogat’s death case have sent indications that Vijaibab and the Goa Forward is working on a plan. Wait and watch.
