All eyes on warring Congress factions after meet in Delhi
Guess what has transpired at the meeting called by the Congress High Command in Delhi on Friday with GPCC chief Amitbab Patkar and his predecessor Girishbab Chodankar. Well, AICC leader K Venugopal and Congress Goa in-charge, Manickam Tagore had a meeting with the Amit-Girish duo in the national capital, which was also attended by party Aldona MLA Carlosbab Alvares. Sources say the meeting deliberated on party affairs, with focus on the ongoing tussle to control the party by the two warring factions. Wait and watch whether the meeting will bring about a thaw in the relations between the warring factions as the leaders have all returned home from Delhi.

When Aldona MLA fumed over 11th hour SOS on Rahul’s departure
Guess how come Aldona Congress MLA Adv Carlosbab Alvares was not seen with Congress Rahul Gandhi at the Mopa airport before his departure to Delhi. Well, sources said Carlosbab was reportedly informed of the interaction with Rahul at the eleventh hour, leaving him hardly any time to make it to Mopa. Questions, however, remain unanswered “ how come other party MLAs and leaders from down South, reached the Mopa international airport for the meeting with Rahul Gandhi. An agitated Carlosbab, sources said, immediately conveyed his displeasure to the High Command. Is that the reason why the Aldona MLA was called to Delhi on Friday for a meeting with the High Command?
Debate on Housing Board land in Assembly left Cuncolkars in awe
Cuncolkars were left to wonder for a moment when MLAs from Nuvem, Madkai and Fatorda all deliberated on the Goa Housing Board-acquired land at Panzorconne-Cuncolim in the House earlier this week. For, the people had been demanding scrapping of the Housing Board Colony in the village over the years, and all that knew all along is that the GSUDA had proposed to take possession of the acquired land around a decade and half ago.
