In the midst of a hectic poll campaign, the South Goa District Congress committee is back in focus, this time after party vice-president Deepak Kharangate quit the post and the party. Deepak has been critical of the GPCC leadership over how the party leaders treated the loyal party men, and over the candidate selection. Party leaders are assessing the fallout of Deepak’s resignation since he heads Paroda village in Cuncolim constituency as the Sarpanch.
