South Goa poll machinery gets into election mode — South Goa district Collector Egna Cleetus chairing a meeting with representatives of political parties in view of the preparation for the upcoming Assembly elections.

South Goa district Electoral officer and district Collector, Egna Cleetus, IAS on Friday chaired a meeting with representatives of recognised political parties in view of preparations for the forthcoming General Election to the Legislative Assembly Constituencies, 2027.

The meeting also discussed the First Level Checking (FLC) of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines, which will be carried out in South Goa District from 17.08.2026 to 31.08.2026.

Meanwhile, the 22nd District Level Committee (NCORD) meeting was chaired by Ana Rita Maria Paes, Deputy Collector (DRO), South Goa District. The meeting was attended by officials from various departments and agencies, including SDMs, DySP, Customs, FDA, Social Welfare, Education, and Health, among others.
