Speaker's absence at govt's ST prog leaves tongues wagging

Even as the official government programme to mark the death anniversary of Manguesh Gaonkar and Dilip Velip saw the presence of Ministers, Govind Gaude and Subhash Phaldesai, one notable absentee was none other than Tribal leader and Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar. His absence at the Ravindra Bhavan was the talking point, leaving tongues wagging over the Speaker’s absence at the function jointly organised by the government and UTAA. It is a sheer coincidence that Tawadkar paid tributes to the two tribal youth at other programmes organised to mark their death anniversary. Interesting, isn’t it?
