Why did Art & Culture Minister Govindbab Gaude lose his cool at the government-organised programme at the Ravindra Bhavan held to mark the death anniversary of tribal youth Manguesh and Dilip Velip? Well, even ST leaders have been taken aback after Gaude went hammer and tongs against the ST leaders observing a Black Day at the Lohia Maidan around the same time. That he did not spare the media for highlighting the issue taken up by the Mission for political reservations has left observers to wonder whether the Minister’s diatribe is simply an act of bravado or to please the party bosses with the saffron brigade coming under flak over the failure to give political reservations for the tribal communities.
