Vijai’s silence on AAP moves

It is a sheer coincidence when the Aam Aadmi Party is gearing up to strengthen itself, Goa Forward Party Chief Vijaibab Sardesai is maintaining a stoic silence. Unlike 2017, when Vijaibab had attacked AAP left and right, he seems to be silent this time around.
Attribute it to the Atishi Marlena effect or otherwise, nothing has been heard from Vijaibab on AAP’s oximeter campaign. During her last visit to Goa, when she interacted with a cross-section of the people, AAP Goa desk in-charge, Atishi Marlena, was believed to have had a meeting with the Goa Forward Chief as well. What had transpired at the meeting remains unknown. Wait and watch.

Exit Elvisbab and in comes Rahul Mhambre to head the Aam Aadmi Party as a stop-gap arrangement. But AAP leadership may face a piquant question, whether the party should continue to project a Catholic face or opt for a leader from the majority community to drive home a message that the party enjoys support from all sections of Goans, including the minorities.
