It was a week when the Goa Forward top brass descended in strength at the Margao Municipal Council garden to protest the arrest of Jesuit priest Fr Stan Swamy. Not only did Vijaibab make his appearance at the MMC garden, but his key lieutenants, Prashantbab Naik and Mohandasbab Lolienkar, besides Goa party-backed ruling MMC councillors were present in strength for the peaceful rally. No sooner did Vijaibab and his team leave the venue after the protests, opponents were quick to take to social media to accuse the Goa Forward of trying to fish in troubled waters and to regain lost ground.
