Sympathisers of the INDIA bloc are believed to have sent an SOS to Goa Forward chief Vijaibab Sardesai after reports reportedly spoke of anti-BJP votes heading towards the RGP in Madkai. With the RGP making inroads into neighbouring Priol segment, part of the North Goa LS constituency, it was feared that the RG factor is making its presence in Madkai as well. Wait and watch as the Goa Forward chief was believed to have conveyed the ground reality in Madkai to Congress South Goa election coordinator, MLA Altonbab D’Costa.

Bureaucrat-turned-Congress leader Elvisbab Gomes was finally seen on the ground in support of the party in the Lok Sabha election.
