There seemed no stop to the debate in Saxtti political circles and outside over the likelihood of a group of Congress MLAs heading to the saffron brigade. One thing that seems very clear is young Cuncolim MLA Yuribab Alemao has told his close aides he will not quit the Congress come what may. Sources say Yuribab isn’t going to follow the footsteps of his predecessor Clafaciobab Dias, who had joined the BJP after getting elected under the Congress banner, only to bite the dust in the 2022 Assembly polls. Dad Joaquimbab too has firmly ruled out the question of son Yuri leaving the Congress.
