Goa Forward Party and its chief Vijaibab Sardesai are facing an acid test in the coming Municipal polls. For, this is perhaps the first time the regional outfit which propped up the saffron government headed by Manohar Parrikar, Vijaibab in 2017, is going to the electorate for a mandate in the civic polls. Between 2017 and 2020, the State had witnessed a host of elections, including the Lok Sabha polls, Zilla Panchayat polls and the Assembly by-polls, but the Goa Forward had stayed away from the fray for reasons best known to the party supremo.
