Postponement of the election to elect the new Margao Municipal Council Chairperson and Deputy must have certainly given a breather to Margao Civic Alliance leaders Digambarbab Kamat and Vijaibab to finalize their candidates for the two posts. The MCA had swept the elections for the municipal body, bagging 17 out of the 25 seats at stake. While Vijaibab’s panel has won nine seats, Diggu finished a close second with eight. Will Vijaibab play the role of Big Brother or will pave the way for Diggu to have his man at the helm of MMC affairs. Only time will tell.
