With the municipal elections round the corner, BJP Leader Damubab Naik is facing the greatest challenge of his political career. In 2015, rival Vijaibab Sardesai swept the civic polls by winning all the 11 seats falling in the Fatorda area of Margao Municipal Council. The ensuing polls gives an opportunity for the former two-time Fatorda MLA to prove a point or two to his detractors that he is still relevant in Fatorda politics. The municipal polls verdict is the barometer indicating whether the former two-time MLA will make a comeback in Fatorda in 2022.
