South Boys Colva blanked Ave Maria 2-0 to storm into the quarter-final of Bab Bakery 8-a-side football tournament in memory of Anthony Fernandes organised by Bab Bakery Boys, Benaulim at Murida Ximu Moll Ground Benaulim on Wednesday. The high light of the day was a splendid brace by Arron.
South Boys Colva dominated the game right from the word go and pushed their opponents on the back foot. Arron put his team in front in the 14th minute. Spurred by the lead South Goa Boys intensified the lead and Arron scored the insurance goal.
The second half did not bring any relief to Ave Maria as their opponents attacked from both the flanks.
