Chapora Yuvak Sangh pulled off a sensational 3-2 comeback over FC Goa in the Goa Professional League on Monday, overturning a two-goal halftime deficit.

FC Goa dominated the opening 45 minutes, creating multiple chances before Konsam Singh opened the scoring in the 33rd minute with a brilliant strike from the edge of the box. Sangam Shetye’s cross found Shawn Fernandes, who calmly doubled the lead in the 40th minute, giving the Gaurs a comfortable advantage at the break.

The second half saw the match swing dramatically. Konsam Singh was sent off for a second yellow, and FC Goa’s goalkeeper received a red card in the 64th minute for handling outside the box. Chapora seized the opportunity: Rohan Kamble’s deflected free-kick made it 2-1 in the 67th minute, and two minutes later, Kamble assisted Vinayak Rane, whose cross was headed in by Sachidanand Satelkar to level the scores.

The winner came in the 83rd minute when Cyprian Rodriguez’s cross forced FC Goa defender Wesley D’Sa into an own goal. Despite being reduced to nine men, FC Goa pushed for an equaliser but couldn’t find one. Rohan Kamble was named Player of the Match for his pivotal role in Chapora’s comeback.
