Rosary College of Commerce & Arts (Navelim), St. Xavier’s College (Mapusa), and Don Bosco College of Engineering (Fatorda) stormed into the semi-finals after dominant performances in the quarter-final matches held at Goa University and Rosary College grounds.

Rosary defeated Govt. College Quepem 5-0, St. Xavier’s thrashed Shree Damodar College Margao 7-0, while Don Bosco secured back-to-back wins over Fr. Agnel College Pilar (2-0) and Carmel College Nuvem (5-0).

In the first quarter-final match at the Goa University Ground, Rosary College of Commerce & Arts, Navelim, delivered a commanding performance to defeat Govt. College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Quepem, 5-0.

The scoring opened early with Merecia Tavares netting the first goal in the 15th minute, swiftly followed by Fatima Braganza’s strike in the 17th minute. Ria Rajesh added a third goal in the 32nd minute, with Franzila Rato and Vinoshka Fernandes scoring the fourth and fifth goals in the 42nd and 52nd minutes, respectively, sealing the victory emphatically.

The second quarter-final match at the same venue saw St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa, overpower VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, Margao, with an impressive 7-0 scoreline.

Leandra Fernandes gave St. Xavier’s an early lead in the 4th minute, quickly followed by Tanvi’s goal in the 6th minute. Prachi Pawar further extended the lead with goals in the 11th and 27th minutes. The second half belonged to Simran Narvekar, who netted a hat-trick with goals in the 52nd, 60th, and 62nd minutes, confirming the team’s dominance.

At Rosary College Ground, Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, Margao, secured their semi-final berth after back-to-back wins.

In the opening quarter-final, Don Bosco defeated Fr. Agnel College of Arts & Commerce, Pilar, 2-0. Both goals came from Raynel Dias in the 22nd and 50th minutes.

Later in the day, Don Bosco continued their impressive form, demolishing Carmel College of Arts, Science & Commerce for Women, Nuvem, 5-0. Blessica Rodrigues opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, followed by two goals from Thais Mascarenhas in the 28th and 40th minutes. Flani Costa rounded off the scoring with goals in the 53rd and 59th minutes.
