Claston and Ronaldo, Palolem beat St Anthony's Mestimol 2-1 to win All Goa 2-a-side tie-breaker football tournament, organised in memory of Aniceto and Adrin Cardozo by Young Boys of United Club FC, at Agonda ground.

Claston and Ronaldo bagged a cash prize of Rs 8,000, while St Anthony's had to settle for a prize of Rs 5,000. Agonda Sarpanch Pramod Phal Dessai was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.

MARGAOGoan Hockey felicitated three coaches and three umpires during its 10th annual general body meeting held recently at Majorda. The officials were honoured for their good performance in the examination conducted by Hockey India.The coaches were Joaquina Mascarenhas, Melchior Alemao and Aviraj Madgaonkar, while the umpires were Inacio Fernandes, Ayyaz Khan and Gaurav K Singh.
