Guardian Angel Sports Club scored a 3-0 victory over Pax of Nagoa Sports Club in the GFA Goa Professional League, at Nagoa Panchayat Sports Complex, on Saturday.
Guardian Angel Sports Club led 2-0 at half time. Guardian Angel started the opening session with more control and continued to press for goals.
Guardian Angel showcased their attacking prowess and defensive solidity. The Angels' got the breakthrough in the 40th minute through Joel Baretto. Gilbert Oliveira passed the ball from the centre and midfielder Cliffton Rebello trapped the ball who floated the it inside the rival penalty box for Joel Baretto who neatly headed home beating Pax of Nagoa goalkeeper Ozen Silva.
Encouraged by the success, they pressed further and doubled lead at the stroke of the lemon break courtesy of a goal scored by Joel Baretto to register his brace.
Guardian Angel SC dominated second half showcasing their attacking prowess and defence solidity. Guardian Angel continued to press with Gilbert Oliveira and Brivon Dias orchestrating plays in the midfield.
Pax of Nagoa Sports Club briefly attacked the rival goal but the Curchorem defence were stubborn at the back.
With strategic substitutions, clinical finishing, and cohesive teamwork, the young lads of Guardian Angel Sports Club demonstrated why they are a force to be reckoned as they fired in the last nail in the second half injury time when Maxon Lopes unleashed a volley off Brivon via Gilbert Oliveira's assist.
Meanwhile, at Benaulim ground, Panjim Footballers suffered their eighth defeat of the campaign with a 0-2 loss against Cortalim Villagers. They are rooted at the bottom of the table with just one point from nine games.

In the GFA U-15 Division 1 League stage, at Sinquetim Sports Complex, Navelim, Salgaocar FC got the better of Churchill Brothers FC 3-0.
The winners led 1-0 at the breather. Salgaocar dominated the game and pushed their opponents on the back foot Emanuel Gama put his team in front in the 29th minute. Crossing over, Salgaocar continued to dictate terms and in the 53rd minute Abneer Lourenco inflated the tally through Amron Fernandes who scored the third goal in the 58th minute.
