Goa University organised the inter-collegiate kabaddi championship for women 2023-24 on December 14, at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor stadium, Goa University.
PES’s SRSN College of Arts & Science, Farmagudi won inter-collegiate kabaddi women championship 2023-24 by defeating Vidya Prabodhini College of Commerce, Education, Computer and Management, Porvorim by a score of 59-45.
Earlier in the semis finals, PE S’s SRSN College of Arts & Science, Farmagudi defeated Shree Mallikarjun & Shri.Chetan Manju Desai College of Arts and Commerce, Canacona by a score of 17-14 while Vidya Prabodhini College of Commerce, Education, Computer and Management, Porvorim defeated Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Sanquelim by a score of 49-28.
The best player was awarded to Alisha Akarkar of PES’s SRSN College of Arts & Science, Farmagudi.
A total of 12 teams participated in the championship.
The chief guest for the presentation ceremony was Dr. Amavel Murty, Medical Officer, Goa University along with Balachandra Jadar, Asst. Director of Physical Education and Sports, Goa University who presented medals and trophies to the winners and runners-ups.
