Praneeth Venugopal and Shreya Deshpande were crowned champions at Gadre Gaspar Dias Open 2021.
There was a new champion in the men's singles as Praneeth beat Tejas Shevde 6-4, 3-6, 2-1 in the finals. The ladies singles category also saw a new winner as Shreya Deshpande overpowered Simran Bundela 7-5, 6-0.
In the men’s doubles category finals, the pairing of Nishad Shevde and Tejas Shevde beat Suraj Bikkanawar and Praneet Venugopal 7-6, 6-4 in straight sets. Over in the mixed doubles category, Amar Dariyanavar and Mukta Patil got the better of Santosh Gorawar and Simran Khan 6-3, 6-2.
The finals of the U-16 Boys category saw Ankit Batheja outplay Saiel Gajinkar 6-2, 6-1, while in the Girls U-16 category, Shreya Deshpande overpowered Ritika Dawalkar 6-1, 6-1. In the Boys U-12 category, Sarthak Gaikwad beat Arav Eshwar 4-1, 4-2 to claim the trophy.
