Goa's Yuvraj Tari has cleared the National Referee Examination. The former Sinquirim Sports Club player, who is a contracted employee of the Electricity Department, started refereeing in 2010 and officiated in Goa Football Association tournaments.
“To make a decision within a fraction of a second and then face the reaction of the players and officials… It’s a tricky business. Even if you make a correct decision, the players and officials against whom the decision has gone tend to react. The crowd can also be very abusive. But you have to be confident of yourself and stay focused,” Tari said.
He thanked Gokuldas Nagvekar, match commissioner, FIFA referee Tejas Nagvekar and GFA Head of referees and former FIFA assistant referee Franky Fernandes for their support and encouragement.
