The Parish Youth of Our Lady of Gloria Church, Varca, organised Goal Fest, an inter-parish youth football tournament (5-a-side football tournament for boys and 3-a-side tie-breaker for girls), at Varca Sports Club ground, recently.
Our Lady of Rosary Parish Youth, Davorlim emerged victorious in the boys 5 A-side football tournament after defeating St Joseph Parish Youth, Dramapur. Our Lady of Rosary Parish Youth, Navelim clinched the girls 3-a-side tie-breaker after defeating Holy Cross Parish Youth, Cavelossim.
The chief guest was Fr Louis Alvares who gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Fr Stifan Rebello.
Over 17 teams across different parishes of Goa participated in the boys football tournament and 4 teams participated in the girls tie- breaker.
