MARGAO: Universal Roller Skating Club’s promising skater Ahyaan Anwar clinched three gold medals at the 9th State Level Roller Skating Championships and National Selection Trials 2026, held at Allare Talap, Quital, Betul, Quepem, on Sunday.
Competing in the Cadet Boys’ 10-12 age category in the Speed-Quad discipline, Ahyaan finished first in all three races — Quad Road I, Quad Road II and Quad Road III — to complete a clean sweep and emerge as state champion.
His impressive performance also secured him selection for the National Roller Skating Championship, scheduled to be held in Bengaluru in December.
The championship, organised by the Skating Association of Goa, which is affiliated to the Roller Skating Federation of India (RSFI), brought together the state’s leading skaters vying for national selection.
Ahyaan trains under coach Rajesh Naik at SAG Universal Roller Skating Club. His coach credited the youngster’s hard work, focus and discipline for his gold-medal hat-trick.
