Albert Developers Sports Club had an easy outing as they drubbed Churchill Brothers Sports Club by a 4-0 margin in the GFA Vedanta Women’s League match, played at Duler stadium, under floodlights here on Thursday.
Albert Developers went into the breather with a two-goal cushion. In the 20th minute, an intelligent through pass by Marlet Cardozo was collected and finished by Joizima Fernandes, 1-0. Albert Developers doubled their lead in the 27th minute when a short corner by Beverly Cardozo inside the penalty box was headed into the goal by Marlet, 2-0.
On crossing over, Churchill Brothers eves had a chance to pull a goal back in the 37th minute, but a long ball by Michelle Castanha was intercepted by Albert Developers keeper Annette Da Costa before Domiana Gomendes could connect.
Albert Developers netted in their third goal when a free kick by Scindia hit the upright and the rebound fell to Marlet, who nodded it home, 3-0. In the added-on time, Akshata Patil netted in the fourth goal with an adroit placement.
Scindia Saundatikar of Albert Developers was named as the most valuable player of the match and received the prize at the hands of Paul Fernandes.
