Eight-year-old Aliza Ansari, a Class III student of Rosary High School, Navelim, has brought glory to Goa by winning two gold medals at the recently concluded Indo-Nepal International Skating Championship held in Nepal.
Aliza delivered an outstanding performance on the rink, claiming top honours in both the 500m and 1000m events. Her speed, skill and composure throughout the competition earned her double gold and international recognition.
The achievement has been widely celebrated by Rosary High School, with Headmistress Aurora D'Souza praising the youngster's dedication and perseverance.
"Despite her young age, Aliza has shown extraordinary commitment and discipline. She is an inspiration to her peers, and the entire school community is immensely proud of her achievement," said D'Souza.
Aliza's success has not only brought pride to her school but has also highlighted the growing standard of roller skating in Goa. School authorities expressed gratitude to the Sports Authority of Goa for providing young athletes with opportunities to compete at higher levels and acknowledged the efforts of coach Rajesh Naik for his training, guidance and constant support.
