Ambelim Sports Club came from behind to register a 2-1 win over Carmona SC in the Goa Football Association (GFA) Third Division League match played at Ambelim Ground on Saturday.
Carmona SC took the lead in the eight minute through Anthony Braganza. After taking the lead, Carmona played a relaxed game and contained the rival defence till the half-time whistle. Prinson Fernandes scored a brace for Ambelim Sports Club to emerge victorious.
In another match played at Duler Stadium, Youth Sports Club, Colvale scored a fluent 2-0 win over Benny XI Sports Club.
Salgaocar FC hit six past Don Bosco
Salgaocar FC scored a resounding 6-1 win over Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda in the Goa Football Association U-16 League match played at Ambaulim on Saturday. Joswel Cardozo and Anwil Costa scored a brace each for the winners while Ashley Furtado and Syndroy Araujo were the other goal scorers for the winners. Richie pulled a goal back for the Fatorda side.
