Alto Porvorim Sports and Cultural Club, Porvorim will conduct 1st All Goa Open Rapid Chess Tournament 2016 at Alto Porvorim Sports and Cultural Club hall, Porvorim on December 28. The club is celebrating it's 25th anniversary and organising the event in association with Bardez Taluka Chess Association, under the aegis of Goa Chess association. The event is organised by Nature Group Chess Academy.
For tournament will make live telecast of the games for audience at the venue. The first round will start at 9.30 am. Cash prizes worth Rs 20,000 and trophies will be awarded to top twenty players. Special two prizes will also be given in each age category for both boys and girls in U-7, U-9, U-11, U-13 and U-15. Besides these, five special prizes for senior citizens and Bardez taluka players will also be awarded.
To enter the tournament a fee of Rs 200 (GCA-registered players) and Rs 250 (non-GCA registered players) has to paid. A special 50% discount will be given to APSCC members.
