Having won a bronze medal at the national powerlifting championship recently, Goa’s Archita Sidhant Shirodkar has emerged as a prospect to clinch a medal at the upcoming School Games in Telangana.
She had recently bagged a bronze medal in powerlifting (benchpress) in the sub-junior 57kg category. Archita will be the sole representative of Goa at the upcoming school powerlifting nationals, which will be held at Mehaboobnagar from December 23 to 26.
According to her coach Mukesh Girap (SAG), there are strong chances that Archita could win a gold medal in upcoming event. Archita is studying in Std VIII in Naval Children school, Chicalim.
