MARGAO: Assolda Veterans and Verna Veterans were involved in a goalless draw and split points in the 1st All Goa SAI Veterans football tournament organised by SAI veterans Football Association at Navelim Grounds on Thursday. Assolda Veterans dominated the proceedings and created many openings and nearly broke the deadlock but Peter Peixoto missed two easy chances. Domnic Cabral played a stellar role for his teams as he kept his forwards busy with a stream of good passes. The second half was mostly confined to the midfield and the teams adopted a safety-first approach, occasionally going for attack.
